The Magic Mitre was invented through pure frustration. Frustration and the realisation that no wall is perfect. Whether cutting skirting board, coving, architrave or dado rail; each and every wall, ceiling and floor is different.
So, we created a tool that fits the mitre to the exact angle, not just a pre-determined 45 or 90 degrees.
The Invention
The Magic Mitre is an invention by a master carpenter in the UK, who owned a construction company building homes. He invented a solution specifically to address the the constant of the non-perfect wall angles.
Development and engineering of prototypes was undertaken over a number of years with the first prototype being exhibited at the 1997 Geneva International Inventors Exhibition, where the product was awarded a gold medal.
The product was first exhibited in North America at the Chicago Hardware Show in August 2001 and was selected from over 150,000 products to receive the coveted Retailers Choice Award.
Sale of the product under the "MAGIC MITRE" brand name now extends to over twelve countries around the world.

The Magic Mitre product is manufactured under Licence by MML (QS) Ltd, 13 Lyon Road, Hersham Trading Estate, Walton On Thames, Surrey KT12 3PU, UK, with all intellectual property, including patents, trade marks, brand names, design rights, trade dress, carton artwork and copyright protected worldwide by Intellectual Property Infringement insurance at Lloyds.
