Problem Solving

If the pivoting workpiece holders do not lock in position, check underneath the large black base so as to ensure the two red locking plates are correctly applied and that you can see the hexagonal shape of the nuts in the locking plate.

If you cannot see the hexagonal shape of the nut, undo the screw and turn the locking plate over so that the hexagonal shape of the nut can be seen when assembled.

If the workpiece holders do not pivot backwards and forwards to their full extent, carry out the following inspection:

  1. With the product fully assembled, place it on a workbench in front of you with the words Magic Mitre in the large black base facing you so that you can read the words Magic Mitre.
  2. Then simply check to ensure the workpiece holders are also facing you so that you can read the warning 'Do Not Cut Yourself'. Finally, check to ensure the longer of the two slots in the top red Saw Guide Assembly is at the end nearest to you.
  3. If the pivoting workpiece holders do not go past 45 degrees recheck your assembly with the instructions and remember the long slot in the Saw Guide must be at the front (the end nearest to you).
